As a reminder, any off-road vehicle (golf carts, mule, etc.) needs to have a current city permit through the City of George West to operate one of these vehicles within our city limits. If you have an off-road vehicle that has not been inspected and issued a license plate with the fee of $50.00, please come to the George West Police Department and we will get you all set up. When bringing in your off-road vehicle for inspection (we have to physically have your vehicle present for inspection.) Please have a current copy of your insurance for the off-road vehicle and a valid driver’s license. When you come to get your inspection and permit (license plate) you will go through the process and when inspection has passed with current insurance and current driver’s license, you will be given a license plate from the, City of George West, to put on the back of your off-road vehicle.
