My name is Haley Maywald and I am the Deputy City Secretary/Finance Officer for the City of George West. I moved to George West, from Del Rio, TX, in June of 2018 with my husband and our four children. I was hired by the city in November of 2018 and have stepped in to help many departments of the city. I enjoy helping people and will do what I can to lighten the load that other people carry. My favorite thing to do is travel our beautiful county by car. My husband and I make it a point to do one big trip each year.
My moto for life was written by Maya Angelou.

My name is Shirley Holm and I am the Contract Financial Accountant for the City of George West. I was hired on April 26, 2017. My hometown is Pettus, Texas. I Attended Pettus High School, Bee County College, & Southwest Texas State. My accomplishments include my beautiful family whom reside near George West & Corpus Christi. Five Grandchildren, which two of them go to school in George West. I retire from the Department of Justice ~ Federal Prison Industries, Washington, DC in 2014 with 25 years of service in the area of Financial Management and Accounting. It is truly my pleasure to work with the City of George West for their financial and accounting work. The City of George West has outstanding employees that I am extremely fortunate to interact with each day in a very professional and dedicated manner for the people of George West. My hobbies include: spending quality time with Grandchildren, working with non- profit organizations, event & design planning, tennis, and running.
